Here is one of my very favorite rugs of the whole show. It is not the finest and certainly not the most expensive but it is a rug that will grow old in a home gracefully. There is much to be said for a rug that can grace a floor for a lifetime with such beauty. It is hard to see in this image but the rug has great color harmony.

The Carpet of Wonder
Iran Carpet Co. is one of the great carpet producers in the world. Also known as Sherkat Farsh or Government Carpet. In the great depression Reza Shah Pahlavi combined the bankrupt British and German carpet companies and kept the carpet business alive for the sake of the weavers. Today ICC is the largest carpet company in the world. In is the creator of The Carpet of Wonder the largest and perhaps greatest carpet ever made. It is still run for the sake of the weavers.

Attractive older style carpet.

This is a nice ICC Tabriz rug in the fish (Mahi) design. That is a 50 radj Tabriz. 50 radj is 50 knots/7 cm. KPSI = ca 300. From across the aisle this rug looked a very nice shade of green but in this image brown.
